Contrary to some reports, UAE remains committed towards Palestinian people

Certain reports have claimed that the United Arab Emirates is causing distress among the Palestinian people and hindering the work of the  United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

Following these allegations and claims, thorough research has been conducted and all these claims have been found to be completely untrue. UNRWA is a relief and human development organisation, which was blamed for failing to reach its humanitarian goal due to UAE’s involvement but no reports have made it clear that there was no truth in those allegations.

The research also reveled that the false information is being spread using social media platforms that have been found to have some link Muslim Brotherhood. These one sided campigns are financed by Qatar, who also funds all the terror activities executed by Muslim Brotherhod.

Many believe this is to turn other Arab nations against the UAE after it recently signed the historic Abhram Accords where it had put forward a condition in front of Israel asking the country to stop its annexation programs on the West Bank in return of normalisation of diplomatic ties. Since then Qatar along with Turkey and Iran has made several attempts to sabotage UAE’s reputation.

The deal was brokered by the United States president Donald Trump and it aims to bring peace in the Middle Eastern region by putting a full stop to Nethanyahu’s illegal annexation plans. This deal kept the interest of Palestinian people in mind Doha fears that if these people start truting the peace process, Muslim Brotehrhood’s existence will sieze to exist.

As per the data of the United Nations, last year the emirati nation donated $52 million and it was fifth largest contributor of the agency ahead of Saudi Arabia and France. In 2019, the Red Crescent became the second largest donor among the non-government organisations. In fact contrary to the claos of certain social media campaign, UAE has been among the early advocates of supporting Palestinian people. A report revealed that between 2013 to 2020, the UAE provided Palestinians with more than $840 million.

UAE has also shown great support to the fight against the coronavirus by sending tinnes of aids ro the Gaza Strip. A few months ago, the country delivered 14.4 metric tons of medical supplies and testing kits and distributed it in coordination with the Commission for Solidarity in Gaza, benefiting more than 14,000 healthcare professionals who were in a fight against Covid-19 and even today continues to help Palestinian communities living in different parts of the region.
