  Your Data, Your Identity is an application launched by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship(FAIC) through which it aims to update personal information through FAIC’s smartphone application or through the authority's website. VISA-free travel approved as Emirates make their first official visit to Israel

  On Tuesday, the delegates from the United Arab Emirates headed to Israel for the first time since normalization of ties between the two countries. It was only last month that the ties between the two countries came to normalisation under a deal called accord agreement, which was mediated by the United States. Soon after the UAE agreed to normalise the ties, Bahrain also followed and the two nations together celebrated normalisation of diplomatic relations with Israel.  All the Emirati officials flew in Etihad airways and US officials accompanied during this journey.  The sons of frontline healthcare professionals in the United Arab Emirates are saving tens of thousands of dirhams a year on school fees, thanks to scholarships across the country’s public schools. In early September, the UAE launched a new initiative, called “Hayyakum,” aiming to remove some of the financial burden experienced by many frontline healthcare professionals and encourage them to keep their jobs.   The Arab Youth Survey 2020 ranked the United Arab Emirates as the most desirable country in the world for young Arab to live in for a ninth year. According to the survey, the UAE is considered the safest country in the region and in the world, and the promise of higher salaries is among the main reasons for the country’s continuing popularity. The survey, which collected the views of 4,000 young men and women across 17 Arab countries, confirmed the data of a recent report published by global database Numbeo, which ranked the UAE as one of the safest countries in the world. In fact, UAE secured a safety index score of 84.55 points and a crime index score of 15.45 in 2020. The interviewed were all between the ages of 18 and 24, across 17 states. Almost half of those who took part in the survey, 46 per cent, expressed their dream to live or is planning to go in the UAE looking for better living conditions. UAE’s hope probe completes halfway journey to reach destination February 9-10

UAE restarts issuing permit for workers travelling from abroad

  The United Arab Emirates has started issuing work permits to those working abroad in the UAE for the first time in seven months.  Apart from the work permits for those working in government and semi government sectors, permit has also been issued for those looking to join sectors like healthcare, transport and sanitation in the country. Along with them, the families looking for domestic workers can process the permits.  The announcement was made on Monday by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.  The work permits for those living in the country was already renewed in the earlier announcement. According to World Bank rankings, the United Arab Emirates is the top Arab country to invest in human capital.   On Tuesday, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , announced the launch of Emirates Lunar Mission.
