The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. At the Sharjah megaproject Aljada, Arada announced that it has started transferring ownership of 114 townhouses and semi-detached villas in the Sarab 2 garden villa neighborhood.

The only villas and townhouses in the Aljada masterplan are found in the two Sarab neighborhoods. At Sarab, a stove, hood, and washer/dryer are already built in every residence, along with smart home amenities.

"The prompt delivery of the high-quality homes in Sarab 2 allows homeowners to enjoy an exceptional lifestyle in homes inspired by nature in one of the most desirable locations at the rapidly expanding Aljada community," said Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, group CEO of Arada.

While both Sarab communities are situated in quiet, remote areas of Aljada, they are only a short stroll from Madar, the fastest-growing leisure and entertainment hub in the UAE with a 1.9 million square foot complex built by Zaha Hadid Architects.

Following the completion in December of 2,473 apartments at the upscale student housing complex Nest and an additional 1,600 homes in the city's East Village neighborhood, the Sarab 2 villa community brings the total number of completed residences at Aljada to over 5,500.

In October 2021, Dubai-based RAQ Contracting received the contract to construct Sarab 2.

Aljada is the largest project Sharjah has ever undertaken, covering a 24 million square foot area, and is valued at AED 24 billion. It will revolutionize the Emirate. Aljada has many residential areas, as well as a commercial park, as well as a wide range of retail, restaurant, entertainment, recreational, educational, and healthcare facilities, all arranged within a lush, pedestrian-friendly master design.
