UAE Non-Oil Business Activity Surges to Nine-Month High in December

 The United Arab Emirates' non-oil private sector recorded its fastest expansion in nine months in December 2024, buoyed by strong domestic demand and increased business activity, according to the latest S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) report. PMI Highlights Robust Growth The seasonally adjusted UAE PMI climbed to 55.4 in December from 54.2 in November, signaling robust growth well above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. This marked the third consecutive monthly increase, underscoring sustained recovery in the non-oil sector. Key drivers of growth included a notable rise in new business activity. The new orders subindex rose sharply to 59.3 in December from 58.0 in the previous month, reflecting strong domestic demand. Abu Dhabi approves Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for all adults and over-12s

Here’s something good that I want to share with what I read today. As the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be available for everyone over the age of 12, Abu Dhabi's government said.

The decision on Thursday comes into effect immediately.

The vaccine will be available alongside the Sinopharm shot, the most commonly used vaccine in the UAE.

Pfizer-BioNTech will be available in all 46 clinics and centers run by the public health group Seha in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the Northern Emirates.

The decision came after the UAE government said booster shots would be available to people who have had the vaccine, particularly those with low immunity.

The latest news means that people as young as 12 can receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, while the Sinopharm vaccine is available to those over the age of 16.
