White House to host signing event of Israel, UAE on September 15

The historic deal between the United Arab Emirates and Israel will be documented on September 15 in the White House in the presence of high ranking officials from all nations.

The president of the United States of America will be hosting the signing event where the talks of normalisation of relationship between the two middle eastern countries will be addressed and be officially signed as per the reports supported by the US officials. Both the parties are led by top officials. Whereas Israel is led by the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Emirati Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the brother of the UAE crown prince.

Netanyahu took to twitter to express his participation and said, “I am proud to leave for Washington next week at the invitation of President Trump and to participate in the historic ceremony at the White House on the establishment of a peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.”

The Trump administration is expecting other countries like Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to recognise Israel and follow the steps of the UAE to normalise relations. On August 13, the US confirmed that after 18-months of talks, this landmark decision was made and Israel agreed to stop its  annexation plans on the West Bank and leave the territory as it is.

Trump’s advisor and son-in-law, Jared Kuhner, had accompanied Israeli delegation last week in its first flight to the UAE. The decision to normalise the diplomatic relations were strongly opposed by countries like Iran and Palestinine supporters. To include Palestinians in the deal, the White House is looking to create such opportunities with other Gulf nations as well.

Palestine has strongly opposed the move where one of the top Palestinian official said that the nation has become a victime of Trump’s ambitious plans on winning teh upcoming US elections. The Trump administration on the other hand has shown great confidence and projected this deal as a major achievement handled by the US president.
