COVID-19 PANDEMIC: Turkey sealed its gates over a virus

Three weeks ago, the Turkish government announced it was opening its borders with the EU. Now, Turkey has announced that it will be closing its borders once again. The entry of Greek and Bulgarian citizens has been restricted on the land border at the crossings at Ipsala, Uzunkopru and Pazarkule from March 19 by the Turkish Interior Ministry.Turkey, with a population of 80 million, has 1,529 positive cases of COVID-19 and 37 deaths in the country as of Monday, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said. Greece, which has a population of 11 million, has reported 695 Coronavirus cases and 17 deaths. Bulgaria, with a population of 7 million, has 3 deaths and 202 cases. This announcement came after a "Four-way Video Conference" held by the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and British PM Boris Johnson. A violence at the border broke-out after this announcement. It added concerns over high numbers of migrants arrivals from Turkey, about 100 per day which causes severe crowding at the refugee camps. The biggest fear for the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is that, the refugees returning from the Greek - Turkey border will be a threat to the country since the new ones from Iran will be among them. Iran is considered as a "Hotspot" for Coronavirus Outbreak. According to a source, currently Turkey hosts for around 4 million refugees and most them them were said to be Syrians. However, around 500 migrants tried to cross the border and the Greek and Turkey authorities fired tear gas over them. This clash lasted for 2 hours.According to a report, the migrants have started to leave the borders and they are sending back to their places where they actually belong. These people, now don't know what to do next and where to go. They left their places with a hope that they will be kept safe. With that ray of hope, they left everything behind. Now the biggest question is, "What will these people will do for their accommodation and employment?" Who will be the one to be responsible for them? Now, Turkey and other countries lacked in "Human Fellow-Ship".
