However, the defense chief of the United States Lloyd Austin has finally raised the issue and talked about it. Austin on Thursday talked about how Russia has been slowly building a military home near the Ukraine border but as he was describing the situation, he referred to Russia as the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union or USSR had collapsed over decades ago and it was disintegrated to different countries, one of which was Ukraine. He said
this while speaking at a press conference in Seoul, South Korea. He talked about the massive structures and technologies Russia is using to hide its movement towards Ukraine.
“Russia has a substantial amount of forces in the border
region, and we remain concerned about that,” said the Pentagon chief. He also
said that despite all of that, there will not be any intrusion from the Soviet
Union’s end towards Ukraine.
He further added that these efforts should not be made
from Moscow’s end and for that, the Russian president Vladimir Putin should be
more transparent in nature so that such
concerns can be resolved.
