Abu Dhabi Cricket has set a new world record by hosting 81 ICC approved events in 11 months. All these matches were conducted in the capital’s distinguished multi-purpose sports facility for the season of 2020/21.

With this, the UAE has set a record having hosted more ICC-approved international matches than any other ground or nation’s sports facility. This has made the country and players of host nations and world’s leading cricket venue.

All of it was possible only due to the sheer dedication and support of the Emirates Cricket Board who made arrangements in such a way that the nation could host 123 matches within a year, a number that has not been surpassed by any nation till now.

The UAE officials were very diligent when it came to following the covid-19 protocols and they have time and again that they have one of the most successful teams behind creating the safest and most isolated bio-bubble.

Organisations and people involved in making these matches a success were National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority who worked along with Department of Health Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Sports Council to conduct the matches and provide the players a safe environment due to coronavirus.
