UAE’s Lifeline to Lebanon: 18th Aid Plane Delivers Vital Medical Supplies Amidst Crisis

  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. UAE: Cabinet Ministers talk about rolling out plans to generate more jobs post Covid-19


As the Covid-19 pandemic starts to curb in the UAE and with the vaccination drive in place, the UAE officials will now be looking at the possibilities post the pandemic era. The impact driven decisions will be initiated in coming days when dozens of UAE ministers will speak to young people in the country regarding more opportunities for them through a virtual session later this month.

The annual event called Mohamed bin Zayed Majlis will be returning for important issues that the residents of the country need to know or talk about. It will start from March 14 for its third session and will be organised through an online medium and is aimed at benefiting 3,000 Emirati students, who will be participating from their homes.

The event will be themed as ‘Thriving in the Next Normal’ and it will bring together the most intelligent and bright minds of the country as well as around the world business especially under the tag of innovators,

The event like the last two years will be organised by the Education affairs office at Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court. The message that the event delivers is very clear, which is to bring young people together with its leadership that will also mean ensuring the needs and requirements of the young people and train them for a better future with all the available resources.

There is a great, power-packed line up for the event. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will also be joining 38 other speakers out of which 12 are UAE ministers.

The event will consist of a campaign around being future ready, To answer questions or any doubts in young people about the job opportunities that were available five years ago but not available right now. These questions will be addressed by Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Ali Matar, head of LinkedIn Emea.

Other than this mental health is also a major talking point especially during the ongoing pandemic for which Dr Laurie R Santos, psychology professor at Yale University will be present to deal with people dealing with any kind of mental health issues.

There will be CNN's Becky Anderson and Dr Adam Grant from Wharton Business School who will address the importance of having an open mind and being curious about things and especially how it impacts young people to develop their career path. There will also be issues such as sustainability in the careers of these young minds. Sustainability and inclusiveness is what we all desire and to address this area,  Minister for Community Development Hessa Buhumaid, Minister of State for Food and Water Security, Mariam Al Mheiri and Masdar's CEO will be present.

UAE will also look at its position in the global supply chain especially after the coronavirus pandemic. It has definitely impacted the supply chain throughout the world and for this Minister of industry and advanced technology (and Group CEO of Adnoc), Dr Sultan Bin Ahmad Al Jaber will be taking the lead.

One of the most important issues will be discussed in the event which is driving job creations for them. A government official coming up to discuss such doubts will be the most efficient way of putting needs of the people across the top authorities and hence Minister of State for Government Development and and the future Ohood Al Roumi, and Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Mubadala Group chief executive will be taking over the topic.

UAE economy and how the youth can contribute to be part of its process of increasing the financial status of the country. But it can only be achieved by proper guidance from an expert in the area and Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy will be donning the hat for this.

Areas like technology and creativity will also be discussed through the medium and Minister of State for Advanced Sciences Sarah Al Amiri and head of Google arts and culture Amit Sood respectively will be dealing with the topics.
