As the Covid-19
pandemic starts to curb in the UAE and with the vaccination drive in place, the
UAE officials will now be looking at the possibilities post the pandemic era.
The impact driven decisions will be initiated in coming days when dozens of UAE
ministers will speak to young people in the country regarding more
opportunities for them through a virtual session later this month.
The annual event
called Mohamed bin Zayed Majlis will be returning for important issues that the
residents of the country need to know or talk about. It will start from March
14 for its third session and will be organised through an online medium and is aimed
at benefiting 3,000 Emirati students, who will be participating from their
homes.
The event will be
themed as ‘Thriving in the Next Normal’ and it will bring together the most
intelligent and bright minds of the country as well as around the world business
especially under the tag of innovators,
The event like
the last two years will be organised by the Education affairs office at Abu
Dhabi Crown Prince Court. The message that the event delivers is very clear,
which is to bring young people together with its leadership that will also mean
ensuring the needs and requirements of the young people and train them for a
better future with all the available resources.
There is a great,
power-packed line up for the event. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of
Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will also be joining 38 other
speakers out of which 12 are UAE ministers.
The event will
consist of a campaign around being future ready, To answer questions or any
doubts in young people about the job opportunities that were available five
years ago but not available right now. These questions will be addressed by
Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Ali Matar, head of LinkedIn Emea.
Other than this
mental health is also a major talking point especially during the ongoing
pandemic for which Dr Laurie R Santos, psychology professor at Yale University
will be present to deal with people dealing with any kind of mental health
issues.
There will be
CNN's Becky Anderson and Dr Adam Grant from Wharton Business School who will
address the importance of having an open mind and being curious about things
and especially how it impacts young people to develop their career path. There
will also be issues such as sustainability in the careers of these young minds.
Sustainability and inclusiveness is what we all desire and to address this
area, Minister for Community Development
Hessa Buhumaid, Minister of State for Food and Water Security, Mariam Al Mheiri
and Masdar's CEO will be present.
UAE will also
look at its position in the global supply chain especially after the
coronavirus pandemic. It has definitely impacted the supply chain throughout
the world and for this Minister of industry and advanced technology (and Group
CEO of Adnoc), Dr Sultan Bin Ahmad Al Jaber will be taking the lead.
One of the most
important issues will be discussed in the event which is driving job creations
for them. A government official coming up to discuss such doubts will be the
most efficient way of putting needs of the people across the top authorities
and hence Minister of State for Government Development and and the future Ohood
Al Roumi, and Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Mubadala Group chief executive will be
taking over the topic.
UAE economy and
how the youth can contribute to be part of its process of increasing the
financial status of the country. But it can only be achieved by proper guidance
from an expert in the area and Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy
will be donning the hat for this.
Areas like technology and creativity will also be discussed through the medium and Minister of State for Advanced Sciences Sarah Al Amiri and head of Google arts and culture Amit Sood respectively will be dealing with the topics.
