The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. UAE sets up direct phone connection with Israel after its historic announcement of easing diplomatic relations

In a new development, a telephonic service has been laid down in Israel making it possible for Israel and the United Arab Emirates to live up to there earlier announcement of stabilizing their relations. This came after the UAE and Israel will be easing down diplomatic ties with each other and for exactly that reason, mediated by the United States.

On Sunday, Israeli communications minister, Yoaz Handel applauded the effort and said,“Many economic opportunities will open now, and these trust-building steps are an important step toward advancing states’ interests.”

This was even proved by the journalists who called each other, from Jerusalem to Dubai, on both landlines and mobile phones and the system was working. Not only this but the online websites that were banned in UAE like The Jerusalem Post, Times of Israel and YNet, all of them started to work without any non-filitaring devices.

After the historic announcement of easing down diplomatic relations with each other, the UAE had suffered some harsh remarks calling it a sacred act for following Trump’s footsteps while others have said that it was high time that something like this happened, at least this will ensure peace in the Middle East.

With this agreement, Emiratis are the third one to be having an open and cordial relation with Israel in the Middle East after Egypt and Jordan. Further in a joint statement, deals between both the countries were expected in the coming weeks in such areas as tourism, direct flights and embassies.

The countries that strongly oppose this decision are Turkey and Iran. the chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces, Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, asked the UAE  to reconsider the decision. “If an incident happens in the Persian Gulf and violates the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran, even a tiny bit, and we see it from the UAE, we will not tolerate it,” Bagheri said.

But reports have suggested that even though it looked sudden that both the countries decided to start fresh actually it on papers since the time Trump had joined office. Trump and his administration had been working a lot in making everything this deal.
