On closing the deal, Thapa said that this prospect will benefit consumers from both the nations. "Sastodeal's strategic partnership with Flipkart is a big step towards strengthening the Nepal-India relationship. We hope millions of Nepalese consumers and millions of Indian vendors benefit from this partnership.”

With this partnership, it will be much easier for Indian Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME’s) to carry out a trade. Sastodeal will be a host to over 5,00 product verticals from the Indian giant where in the sellers will be operating with different categories ranging from babycare to kids, audio device, men's clothing, women's ethnic wear, and sports and fitness and many more.

The young founder said that it will be only natural to open Indian market for local Nepali vendors and billions of Indian consumers as the next step of this partnership with the E-commerce giant India will be expansion. Having said that, he maintains that for now the focus is to make these products available to Nepali consumers which are not very easily accessible to them. He added that even though they are starting with merely 5,000 products but as days go by, they will look towards increasing product offering with Flipkart and Myntra and also look towards shortening the delivery time. Thapa assured that there is a very capable team working to let this happen.

"We are ensuring that customers get access to these products readily and hoping that together this partnership can modernize the consumer landscape in Nepal significantly especially in the current times," Amun added.

Currently, the majority of the sellers from Flipkart come from smaller cities in India. Among the two lakh sellers, more than half of them come from Jaipur, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Meerut, Surat, Kanpur, Agra, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad.

Sastodeal has managed to expand a lot in Nepal in nine years of its tenure. Now one of the leading e-commerce companies in Nepal it has a huge customer base and thousands of sellers within the Himalyan nation.
