Sudan, Iraq and more countries the UAE helped in countering coronavirus outbreak

There is a lot that goes into fighting this never ending battle against something as dangerous as coronavirus. It is the severity of the disease that is disastrous but the very nature of it. This scale of global pandemic not only requires a lot of attention and effort but a lot of resources as well. Unfortunately, not every country has the resources to fight this battle.
The United Arab Emirates has stood by each country that wanted its help even without asking for it. The UAE is not only doing well for itself in terms of handling the spread of coronavirus but it is also making sure that the world does not suffer much hence their share of humanity is unparalleled.
It was first announced in April that the UAE will donate coronavirus test kits to the United States. It was added to the effort of the US when they opened one of the largest mass testing units in Las Vegas when the UAE donated 2,00,000 test kits. Not only this but the arab nation has also donated $10 million worth of test kits to the World Health Organisation which can be used for five million people.
One of the latest helps from UAE’s side was to Uruguay by sending an aid plane carrying seven metric tons of medical supplies to the South American country. Before that it had a craft carrying five metric tonnes of medical aid to Peru.
Its neighbour Iraq also received aid. Nearly 10.5 metric tons of medical supplies sufficient to support more than 10,500 doctors in June. Sudan was also on the list of countries getting help from the UAE. In June, 38 tonnes of medical aid was delivered to Sudan after sending 11 tons of medical aid to the country in May. The United Kingdom was also one of the beneficiaries. They received over six million ton of medical aid and products that can be developed into medical supplies which included 60 tons of medical equipment.
The country where the outbreak first happened, China, also received support from the UAE government. The UAE not only provided masks and other supplies when first movements of the virus were being caught but also Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan promised support to the Asian power house in whichever way possible.
These are just a few of the 71 countries that the UAE helped when they were struggling. Other names include--India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Greece, Iran and more.
