UAE’s Lifeline to Lebanon: 18th Aid Plane Delivers Vital Medical Supplies Amidst Crisis

  The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. US intends to conduct new trade investigation against EU

The US administration is considering the possibility of starting a new trade investigation against the EU amid the fact that the head of the White House, Donald Trump, has not yet begun to impose duties on European cars.

Previously, it was assumed that measures against the automobile industry of the EU will be introduced by November 14 or postponed for six months.  Thus, the publication notes, imported cars, and spare parts will no longer be regarded as a threat to national interests, but goods from the European Union will come under a broader investigation.  "This will create a situation that will give the president leverage over the EU," the source said.

The publication doubts that the head of the White House will resort to article 232 of the American law of 1962, which allows duties to adjust imports of goods from other states, based on national interests.  "The investigation under article 301 of the 1974 law on trade will be potentially much wider and will affect a large number of industries," the publication said.
