UAE and Qatar Reaffirm Strong Bilateral Relations in High-Level Meeting

As Reem Al Hashimy revealed, it is the principle of offering assistance to “brotherly” peoples in their hour of jeopardy — and more importantly of doing so without any expectations and in a way that is not politicized — that motivates the UAE to lend humanitarian assistance whenever it is necessary.

 While giving a media briefing on Dubai Humanitarian, Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy reiterated the UAE’s steadfast support for Lebanon for the umpteenth time. With Lebanon in the grips of widespread economic collapse and distrust in the political landscape, the initiation of the UAE_Stands_With_Lebanon campaign by the UAE becomes a matter of life and death for the Lebanese populations. Reem Al Hashimy’s reassessment of the UAE position is revealing of more than just a concern for humanitarian issues; it betrays a coherent picture in regards to the histories and cultures of the two countries in question.

The occasion spanned the participation of various international humanitarian agencies and organizations such as UNHRD/WFP, WHO, UNHCR, Unicef, and IFRC, and thus further promoted the value of the UAE’s claims.
