The United Arab Emirates has dispatched its 18th aid aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This ongoing initiative, launched in early October, aims to provide critical food, medical, and shelter supplies to the Lebanese population, who continue to face severe hardships due to ongoing conflict. In close collaboration with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), UAE humanitarian organizations are playing a pivotal role in delivering life-saving aid to Lebanon’s vulnerable communities. The campaign is a direct response to the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with further guidance from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and under the l

Norwegian chose climate crisis to be at the centre stage as they cast their vote for labor party leader

One of the most developed nations of the world has made its choice known to the public as it has selected labor leader Jonas Gahr Stoere won the 2021 election on grounds that ‘actually’ concern the public.

The majority tilted towards more drilling issues as the opposition party talked about climate changes and oil and gas participation activities from the nation's side and that seemed to have made all the difference. On hearing the results, the current prime minister of the nation, a conservative, Erna Solberg said, “The Conservative government's work is finished for this time around.”

The labor party had put forward some exemplary examples of how the climate crisis, ongoing all over the world, can be dealt with and, as per the experts, made all the difference for voters. By the conclusion of the first day of the week, conservatove PM was ousted and things became more certain.

However, one thing that had to be noted was the fact that the smaller parties did not gain as many votes as it was expected after the mass had expressed dissatisfaction with the conservative party. There was a clear difference of opinion as well as climate aspiration of the country with what it was trying to project.

It earlier tried to establish itself as a leader in executing measures that counter climate changes but things didn't go as expected with the conservatove leader in head. But now, the public as well as the world looks up to Norway to lead by example and set goals that would be an inspiration for the entire world.

The disappointment was only with smaller parties, who had a more aggressive approach to dealing with fossil fuel problems. If oil and gas dependence was such a huge issue for the Norwegian public and these parties were the ones to depend on rather than the labor party, who of course had better plans than the conservative party, with a subtle approach.

In order to deal with climate change practices more effectively, the labor party leader may have to bring a smaller wing, who supposedly has better plans in place to deal with serious issues. The former Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store might have won around 26 percent of the voters in the parliamentary elections but he has formed a coalition with the centre party to prove complete majority.

One of the exports in the matter of climate change and also a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo Thomas Hylland Eriksen said, “Norway tries hard to act as a pro-nature, pro-diversity society, but our main source of wealth comes from oil and fossil fuels.”

The climate issue became all the more serious this year after countries like Germany and Belgium saw deadly crash floods, Greece saw broken wildfire and many such incidents in the European world. Post all this, the Norwegian population became cautious and wanted rapid changes in their approach and the power shift is the result of this.
